Cute Little Bag

I made this for my granddaughters...I found the jean purse at Wal-Mart in the craft section for $2.99 and I let them pick out the material for the ruffle and the bling.

The Margaret Sling Bag

My lastest made from a tutorial by Oh Fransson check out her contemporary quilts and sewing projects, patterns and tutorials.
I used cordoray for the out side and a brightly colored batik for the lining.

I WON!!!!

I can hardly believe it I actually won...Thanks to much to Cyndi over at bluebirdswing for the great give away. I need to apologize to Cyndi that I am so late on posting about this awesome give away but things have been crazy over her at All in Stitches...my Mom has had major back surgery and my husband has had to have a STENT, but hopeful everyone is on the mend now and I can get back to getting my blog up and running.

See all the pics of what came in the mail. The beautiful material in the fat quater from "OldCountryStoreFabrics.com, the great key fob and the cute sticky notes and note pads.

Click right on over and visit Cyndi @ bluebirdswing.blogspot.com  and check her out!

Again a great big thank you to Cyndi for her GREAT giveaway!!

New Purse

This is a McCalls Pattern...I found it to be a little difficult following the
directions but it came out ok.
This was on old clip on earring that I thought was very dainty/pretty and matched the pink and brown very well.
Here is the pattern cover that I used for this pattern:

Searching

OK, I started this blog sometime ago, thinking that I would put this blog together for an outlet for scrap booking and it went south pretty quickly.  I had not even sewn or sat at my sewing machine for probably two years or better.  Then about two months I started exploring handmade bags....blogs. Now I have become obsessed with blogs pertaining to handmade items in particular bags. To my surprise I have found some pretty awesome blogs...not only chalked full of ideas for bags and other things....but also some very interesting people. All this to say...I have searched and research but for some reason can't seemed to get organized and focused on starting my own handmade bags and other goodies blog IE...small business. Anyone out there with suggestions???
